An object of power crashes onto earth, shattering into pieces and giving strange and wondrous powers to those who touch them. Five years after the event, those changed are known as the Silverings and are feared and misunderstood throughout the land. The change ripples out through the world, political powers shift, whole communities disappear. Nothing will ever be the same again.

In the past few months, I've had a hard time motivating myself to write. This is not an uncommon problem for creative people in 2020.
I wanted to give myself something to work on, something that wouldn't take too much time out of my daily life, but would also be fun and exciting to read and write. Like a lot of my writing on Booksie.Com, I wanted to do something experimental. This led me to the idea of writing an ongoing series, made up of flash-chapters.
What is a flash-chapter?
First and foremost it's a description I just made up, lol. But the idea is that each chapter is the same length as a flash fiction story (1,500-words or less). This way it's a little more relaxed for me to update this story regularly.
How long will it be?
That's really up to you! I'm designing Silverings to be a series of story-arcs in an ongoing universe. The story will focus on different people and places in this little fantasy world I've created.
If I'm enjoying writing it, and you're enjoying reading it, then I will keep going. On the other hand, if things aren't going well I will just finish up whatever arc I'm working on and call it a day.
